Hello,
This is one of the comments that was recently left on my blog. This was sent in by vasilisa. Please check out her blog. She has great healthy recipes. Anyway the comment: What kind of dehydrator do you have? I've been thinking about getting one, but haven't decided if it's necessary yet...What's nuplus?I'm thinking about incorporating coconuts into our diet, but they just seem a bit too sweet at this point. PS: my blender just arrived! A Vita Mix! I'm so excited! Any good ideas for yummy green smoothie?
I do have a small traditional dehydrator but not one where I can make fruit leathers or breads, crackers or meals but I know exactly which one I am going to get. I am getting the Excalibur 9 tray that you can purchase at my link above for Amazon. It is not necessary to get one but there are times when I would like to make certain desserts or dishes that I am not able to because an oven cannot do what a dehydrator does. So in time when you want a variety of dishes you may want to consider a dehydrator.
Nuplus is a balanced herbal formula based on the Chinese tradition that serves as a foundation on which to build a healthy diet and to fill in nutritional gaps. I can give you more information if you would like.
Vitamix - a blender with a car motor. :)
I love
spinach and mango smoothies
2 to 3 big handsful of spinach
1 mango
(Actually any greens with mango are good.)
I also love
celery and apple juice
1 large stalk of celery
2 apples
1 cup of water
blend
I definately recommend Victoria Boutenko's Green for Life book for green smoothie recipes. It is my favorite green smoothie book. It was my inspiration for drinking them too. (Save 12% by clicking on the link above.)
Raw nutrients of the day:
1 oz wheatgrass
16 oz green smoothie
8 oz herbal tea
kale hemp seed salad
8 oz herbal tea
1/2 slice cheesecake
1 sunbar
1 nuplus
1 quinary
1 vitadolphilis
32 oz apple-celery juice
2 bananas

Thanks so much for the link :-) I’m awfully flattered :-) Though I wouldn’t say I have that many healthy recipes – I’m barely learning and struggling with the process of turning kitchen-healthy. It’s a very slow work in process…
And I’m really looking into the whole smoothies thing, and trying to figure them out. Vita Mix is amazing. I love it so far, but I will be needing to get more books to get recipe ideas. I can’t wait to try the ones you suggested.
It’s interesting about Nuplus. I’ll read about it more. I’m occasionally using some green powder to alkalize my water. I read about it in the Ph Miracle book. I use it for those times when my diet slides from the straight path…
