Raw Food Phase 2 Day 3 - Aura

Tonight I got a picture of my Aura. The aura is the electromagnetic field that surrounds our bodies. Every living object in the universe has an aura. These magnetic energies vary in density and go in and out of the body. They also extend above the head about 2 to 3 feet and below the feet into the ground. The predominate color surrounding most of the upper part of my body in my aura picture was yellow. I had some blue around my chest and the neatest thing in the picture is that you can see my lungs. It looks like an x-ray of my lungs and this area is black.I will get this picture scanned and put it up on the blog.

6oz young coconut water

A higly functional human being

I went to the doctor's office and my test results were favorable. I had pulmonary function tests got better than 6 months ago when the numbers had declined some and then we compared the numbers to my first test in August of 05 and the numbers were pretty much the same. So my disease has been stable for over 2.5 years. I do not want to seem ungrateful but I can say that I was not thrilled with the results. I want improvement and I want it now. Or should I say I want drastic improvements and I want them now. I did improve back to my baseline of 8/05. I go again in 6 months so we will see. I know that 3.5 months of raw foods is not going to turn back time so quickly. I will focus on some progress for June's 2008 tests.

When I told my doctor that at times I feel like I am not doing enough for my health he said he thinks that I do. He said that there are many patients that have the same results as I have in their pulmonary tests that do not do anything. He says you are a highly functional human being and you are doing everything you can. He just gets a big smile when I tell him I play volleyball 3 times a week. I have to practice more compassion for myself.

You've come a long way baby...

I was really looking at the foods I ate the other day and I just grinned. My thoughts were along the lines of how far I have come. I am proud of what I have accomplished. I am proud of the person I have become and the lifestyle I have chosen. I do not think I would have been able to make those statements 3 years ago but the fact is that I can say them now. Years ago I did go through a craze for fast food but that was not what my diet was about. I had my basic standard American diet with a starch and protein and a vegetable at lunch and dinner with a diet soda. I ate deserts and had a breakfast of coffee with a bagel. Coffee with a sugar substitute as a snack and an appetite suppressor, or so I thought. Now I look at these foods like simple carbs (starch), dead animal meat (protein), acid forming drinks (coffee and diet soda), blood glue (bagel) and powdered carcinogen (sugar substitute).

Accomplishment of the week:

This past Thursday we only had 8 women show up for volleyball. In the past I attempted to play with 4 women on one side but I would get home and basically pass out and be non functioning the next day. It would take me 36 to 48 hours to get back to normal. Many times when we play I will always be on the side with the extra person because of the strain that it puts on my lungs, heart and body. I actually declined playing a few months ago because there would only be 4 players on my side. Well I realized this past Friday that I had played for 2 hours with 4 women on my side. I came home bathed, watched Survivor and went to bed after 11PM. I woke up Friday and everything was normal. I did not realize this accomplishment until I was speaking with my mom. I was so shocked that I could not talk. I really could not make a sentence when I realized how great I felt only 16 hours later. I am grateful for this and for raw foods. I know that my this lifestyle has helped me tremendously and I am going to continue to THRIVE.

Raw nutrients of the day:
1 oz wheatgrass
16 oz green smoothie
8oz fresh squeezed OJ with sprouts
1 oz E3Live algae
8 oz chocolate pudding
1 oz wheatgrass few pieces of mango
1 banana
1 sweet potato
1 carob coated banana with coconut and nuts
1 slice mango-banana pie
8 oz herbal tea
2 bags nuplus
1 oz wheatgrass

Raw Foods Wealth 2 Health - Another Level

I believe it is time for me to take this diet to another level. I really have to concentrate on greens now that I know I can follow a raw diet. I want to get a juicer and I am hoping that I win one from crazysexycancer.com. Either way, I am going to drink my E3Live, Evergreen, my celery and apple juice that is so yummy and other green juices. Currently I am reading a book by Ann Wigmore entitled The Wheatgrass Book and it seems like I will be growing and drinking wheatgrass. More on that later.

Here are some pictures of the flowers I gave my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago.

Raw Food Phase 2 Day 4 and Day 5 - Hot Air Ballon

Thursday night was another fun night at volleyball. I get so excited about my body’s performance that I cannot sleep. I am so elated that I am energized. So I stayed up late reading. I wasn’t that tired on Friday. At least not how I used to be after a hard night of volleyball. I will see my how my progress goes on Sunday when I go play in the co-ed league.

Last night I had a lot of fun. I went to a breast cancer benefit where they had 5 different bands playing. They had door prizes, raffles, a 50:50, and an auction. There was good energy in the air as everyone was happy to come to the aids of others and there is always hope for a cure.

Today my hopes were to go on a tandem hot air balloon ride. I had my camera ready to record a video however Mother Nature had other plans. I must say I was somewhat relieved because a little bit of fear was creeping in when I was watching the pilot attempt a trial run. Better safe than sorry. Perhaps the weather will cooperate next year.

I bought a case of peaches today and I made a few batches of green smoothies today. I used flax seeds and hemp as my source of omega 3’s put them in containers and froze them so it will be easier during the next couple of weeks. I love treating my body to great carbohydrates after a workout so I make sure that I drink at least 8 to 16 ounces of a green smoothie afterwards. The body has to heal then and the two best things to give your body, as far as my readings, are coconut water to replace the electrolytes, and good carbohydrates for muscle repair.

Another practice I have been doing is that I drink 1 to 2 ounces of E3Live algae for the chlorophyll and a heaping teaspoon of bee pollen prior to exercise. Since chlorophyll is the closest food to the hemoglobin in our blood. I figure this will aid my body in delivering more oxygen to my cells. The bee pollen is strictly for energy.
